Green Deal is a type of loan that is recovered via your electricity meter.
The idea was always that the savings made from home improvements would be able to cover the extra payments you would need to make.
The problems have come from where there are no savings to be made. If your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) was completed incorrectly then this can make your baseline savings figures inaccurate.
If an organisation has failed to complete an assessment or sold you a Green Deal you did not need, you have a right to claim compensation.
